The Freedom 55 pickups are not only an excellent choice for rock ’n roll and modern country guitar tones, but are also very well suited for many other styles of music...
The neck pickup delivers enhanced articulation in the mids, slight compression in the low end, and the pure nickel silver cover really lets the tone shine through. Choose the "+ 3rd wire" option if you plan to wire the pickups in series with a 4-way switch.
The "Standard" wound bridge pickup has mids that bark when you dig in and a punchy full tone with rich harmonics. Each pickup is individually handcrafted using beveled alnico 5 rods and then scatter wound with heavy build magnet wire, true to an early ‘50s tele pickup. Choose +10% or +20% "over wound" for increased bass and midrange. Choose -10% or -20% "under wound" for softened mids with added treble and presence.

Mr. Fatpups
I'm Chris and I love guitars. I got my first guitar 25 years ago when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since. As a youngster I began tinkering with them right away, and even got in trouble for completely disassembling my Uncle's Strat!
After working many different jobs over the years ranging from guitar teacher to electronics manufacturing one thing has remained the same - I have not lost my passion for amazing guitar tone, and I never will!
