The Fat Little Wings are an accurate reproduction of the pickups Hendrix used in his Strat from the late ’60s with a slightly over wound bridge pickup. The higher output bridge pickup provides a more balanced dynamic response between the three pickups. They are handcrafted with period correct grey/black fiber bobbins, sand cast alnico 5 pole pieces, and plain enamel magnet wire. The middle pickup is reversed for humbucking in the 2 and 4 positions. If you’re looking for some round bell tones like a Strat from the days of Jimi look no further!
Magnet Stagger - Choose between vintage staggered pole pieces or flat poles (non-staggered)
RWRP - This option will give you noise canceling in the 2 and 4 positions when buying a set. Clockwise coils with North up magnets is our standard wind. RWRP have counter-clockwise coils with South up magnets
Aged Poles - With this option the alnico rod magnets are patinaed which gives the pickups an aged look.
Covers - Choose between Parchment, Black or White covers. They have 2 1/16" (52.2 mm) spaced pole spread and are interchangeable with many other aftermarket covers.

Chris Larson
Mr. Fatpups
I'm Chris and I love guitars. I was lucky enough to get my first guitar 27 years ago when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since. As a youngster I immediately began tinkering with them and foolishly got myself in trouble one time for completely disassembling my Uncle's Strat. Oops!
Over the years I've had the opportunity to work a number of different jobs ranging from guitar teacher, to electronics manufacturing, to chef, to pickups. One thing that never changed during those years is my love for guitars and the ongoing pursuit of amazing guitar tone.
Today building pickups is my full time profession with myself as the Fatpups sole operator. Since 2015 I've been fortunate enough to have made thousands of pickups for people worldwide. I would be happy to hear from you so please let me know if there is anything I can do!
