Equipped with alnico 5 rod magnets on the lower strings (E,A,D) and alnico 2 rod magnets on the high strings (G,B,E). The split magnets provide punchy bass reponse with well defined attack on the lower registers and thick syrupy vintage tones on the upper register, all the while retaining their "Straty" goodness. The bridge pickup has increased windings for more output and the middle pickup is reversed for humbucking in the 2 and 4 positions.

Chris Larson
Mr. Fatpups
I'm Chris and I love guitars. I got my first guitar 23 years ago when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since. As a kid I started tinkering with them right away and I even got in trouble one time for completely disassembling my Uncle's Strat!
After working many different jobs over the years ranging from guitar teacher to electronics manufacturing one thing has remained the same. I have never stopped tinkering with guitars, and I never will!
The idea for Fatpups came to me in 2016 after going on a long binge of pickup making. I wasn't selling pickups at the time, but I was in deep on a tone quest. Eventually that tone quest turned into something much more. I'm now so very grateful that I've been able to take my passion for amazing guitar tone and share it with the rest of the world.
