The alnico 5 magnets for the low strings (EAD) and alnico 2 for the high strings (GBE) provide punchy bass with a strongly defined attack on the lower registers combined with a smooth top end on the upper registers.
The neck pickup is similar to a Strat pickup in that it has thicker 42awg magnet wire and an open cover. These two mods will give you more clarity and chime when playing clean as well as a scooped mids voicing that works especially with midrange focused overdrives. Also the neck cover has a dedicated ground wire so that it will function in series with the bridge pickup.
The bridge pickup is scatter wound to 7.5k for medium output and can dish out plenty of Tele twang even though the alnico 2 takes a little edge off the treble. It comes wrapped with black hemp cord or natural cotton twine and has a copper clad steel baseplate.

Chris Larson
Mr. Fatpups
I'm Chris and I love guitars. I was lucky enough to get my first guitar 27 years ago when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since. As a youngster I immediately began tinkering with them and foolishly got myself in trouble one time for completely disassembling my Uncle's Strat. Oops!
Over the years I've had the opportunity to work a number of different jobs ranging from guitar teacher, to electronics manufacturing, to chef, to pickups. One thing that never changed during those years is my love for guitars and the ongoing pursuit of amazing guitar tone.
Today building pickups is my full time profession with myself as the Fatpups sole operator. Since 2015 I've been fortunate enough to have made thousands of pickups for people worldwide. I would be happy to hear from you so please let me know if there is anything I can do!
